Anxiety & Depression Counseling in Columbus, Ohio

Feeling weighed down by constant worry, sadness, or stress can make everyday life feel overwhelming. You don’t have to face it alone. In my Columbus counseling practice, I provide a safe and supportive space to help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, build healthier coping tools, and reconnect with a sense of calm and balance. Together, we’ll work toward easing the burden of anxiety and depression so you can feel more present, grounded, and hopeful.

How Therapy Help with Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression can show up in different ways: constant overthinking, irritability, exhaustion, or a heavy sense of hopelessness. These struggles often interfere with work, relationships, and your ability to enjoy daily life. Therapy creates a space to pause, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and find healthier options for coping and approaching everyday situations.

In our work together, we’ll explore the patterns and underlying causes of the anxiety or depression you’re experiencing while also building practical strategies you can use right away. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your emotions, less stuck in negative cycles, and more connected to the parts of yourself and life that matter most.

My Approach to Anxiety & Depression therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel seen, heard, and understood. My style is relational and attachment-focused, meaning we’ll pay attention not just to symptoms, but also to the patterns in your relationships and the ways you’ve learned to cope over time. Together, we’ll uncover how past experiences may be shaping your present, while also creating new ways forward.

I draw from evidence-based approaches like Gestalt, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Self Compassion, and strengths-based practices. This means we’ll focus on helping you build awareness of your emotional experiences, reconnect with your values, practice tools for managing difficult emotions, and build on the personal strengths you already have. Our sessions are collaborative, you set the pace, and we work together toward lasting change.
